One of the most popular reality competition shows in the United States is America's Got Talent, a branch of the got Talent series which began in Britain. But unlike some of the competition shows around today like American Idol and The Voice, America's Got Talent does not limit their contestants only to singing. In fact, if it's conceivably a talent in any shape or form, the judges will have a look at it and deem it worthy or unworthy of moving on in the initial stages of the competition. As a result of the vague nature of the show, America's Got Talent treats it audience to a wide range of people with various talents.

America's Got Talent Betting Tips

What do the previous America's Got Talent results tell us about who's likely to win this season? While it's not always true that history repeats itself, we can look at historical data to see if we can deduce some probabilities.

Here's what I can tell you about who won previous seasons:

SeasonWinner
Season 1Singer Bianca Ryan
Season 2Ventriloquist Terry Fator
Season 3Singer Neal E. Boyd
Season 4Singer Kevin Skinner
Season 5Singer/Musician Michael Grimm
Season 6Singer Landau Eugene Murphy
Season 7Dog tricks act Olate Dogs
Season 8Martial arts dancer/mime Kenichi Abina
Season 9Magician Mat Franco
Season 10Ventriloquist Paul Zerdin
Season 11Singer/Musician Grace VanderWaal
Season 12Singer/Ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer
Season 13Magician Shin Lim
Season 14Singer/Pianist Kodi Lee

I'll sum this up for you simply. Here are some trends from the previous 14 seasons:

  • Singers have won eight times.
  • Ventriloquists have won three times, although one was a singer, too.
  • Magicians have won twice.
  • Dance acts have won once, although he was also a mime.
  • Comedians have never won.

I think these historical results are reflected in the America's Got Talent Season 15 odds. It's highly likely that a music act will win, and if you wager $100 on that right now, you could win $52.63 profit. That's not bad at all when you consider the likelihood!

Please note, I've given personal odds on these based on my own assessed probability of the outcome occurring. The following aren't live odds, and I'll update this article with real odds as these entertainment bets become available.

Will the Winner Be Male or Female?

Youtube Videos America's Got Talent

Based on previous stats, we can say that more men have won America's Got Talent than women. Only three women have won AGT before, so the probability is that a male will win it again this time. While these aren't official odds, I'd say the odds are -230 that a man will win.

America

Will the AGT Winner Be a Solo Act?

Is America's Got Talent Rigged

The probability of a solo act winning AGT is extremely high. Almost every year, solo artists have won the prize money and the Las Vegas gig. I would give a solo artist odds of -550 of winning. It's highly probable that a solo artist will win, so keep that in mind when placing your bets.

Will Archie Williams Win AGT 2020?

AGT fans will know that Simon Cowell is a tough judge to please. So, when Simon was blown away with Williams' opening song, a heartbreaking rendition of Elton John's Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me, you know he has a great chance of winning.

He also has a back story that will win him lots of love from the public. He was imprisoned for a crime he did not commit between 1982 and 2019 and was released under the Innocence Project.
